Remembering Raghu Rai: A Legend of Visual Storytelling
In respectful remembrance of Raghu Rai, one of the most influential photographers of the Indian subcontinent, whose work has shaped the language of visual storytelling across generations. Raghu Rai was renowned for his powerful documentary photography, capturing history, politics and everyday human life. His work on the Bangladesh Liberation War remains especially meaningful, preserving some of the most important visual records of that time. Through projects like “Bangladesh: The Price of Freedom,” he showed a strong connection to the history and identity of Bangladesh. On behalf of UIU Photography Club (UIUPC), we pay our deepest respect to a legend whose images continue to inspire, educate and remind us of how empowering photography is! #UIUPC
